When I was three years old I was thrown in a pool and just like that I was introduced to swimming, I had the chance to swim in the Ocean often, because I lived very close to it..... I competed as a child and later in my teen years.
I started running in my 20's on and off, just to be in good shape, and steadily increasing my mileage as well as my age (I increased my age faster though)..... until I was running Marathons...at 39.
I grew up more and I took this seriously. I joined Breakaway and definetly it was a huge change in my sport.
In 2006, In my hometown, I was cheerleader #1 to my sister in law at the Baja Ironman 70.3, and I was very motivated by all the triathtletes and I said to myself, I WANT TO DO THIS !
As soon as I could I was doing my first sprint..
Only in my dreams I pictured myself kicking the asphalt at the Boston Marathon.....I did it in 2007 after a lot of work at La Jolla High Track.
I love the fact that I can race in my country, and also in my second home (USA).
